Rachel Chou, owner of the building that will house the new Katana Sushi and Hibachi restaurant, provided BrownwoodNews.com on Wednesday with some information about the new tenants.

“My family will not be running it as we did before with Chop Kitchen,” Chou said. “We do have a new tenant, and they’re hoping to open in August if everything goes as planned.”

Renovations to the inside of the building are currently taking place.

“Right now, they’re redoing the inside, and they’ll have a bar in there,” Chou said. “If you’ve ever been to Enoki in Stephenville, it’s similar to that. They’ve been inside the building for less than a month so they’re trying to get the inside ready.”

Chou did not have specifics about the Katana menu, however, more information on the restaurant will be provided closer to the opening date.

Chou added that Katana does not currently have a social media presence but expects that to occur in the future.
