Ten Bangs Lady Dragons and nine Early Lady Horns received postseason accolades from the softball coaches of District 8-3A, while the Bangs coaches were named the softball staff of the year.
Bangs’ Jacee Miller and Early’s Taylor Summers were selected Co-District MVPs, while Lady Dragon Abby Wolf and Lady Horn Teagan Lopez were tabbed Co-Newcomers of The Year.
First-team nods for Bangs went to McKenzie Hughes and Sierra Lorah.
For Early, first-team selections included Jordan Simmons, Trinity Torrez, and Jordyn McIntyre.
Landing on the second team from Bangs were Emily Baker, Jadyn Miller, Neeley Bradley, and Julianna Ethridge.
Lady Horn second-team choices were Marissa Reedy, Stoney Laughlin, and Grace LaRue.
Receiving honorable mention were Bangs’ Jordan Valdez and Mariah Ruiz, along with Early’s Aubrey Greaves.
The Lady Horns finished with a 23-8 record and were the second playoff seed from 8-3A, while the Lady Dragons posted a 15-10 mark and were the league’s third playoff seed.
