The Brown County Sheriff’s Office issued the following press release Wednesday morning:
On Tuesday, April 19, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 4-H Center, due to an employee locating possible human remains. Brown County Sheriff’s deputies were led to the area where human remains were discovered.
While processing the scene a driver’s license, along with other identifying items, were discovered allowed officers to determine the remains belonged to Richard Parker, a 76-year-old male reported as a missing person out of Hill County in 2010.
The deceased male was last seen with his truck located at the Mountain View Lodge on April 24, 2010.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office feels fortunate to be able to bring closure for the family.
