Early Doubles Sales Tax Receipts in April

All three Brown County cities showed healthy increases in sales tax allocations from the State of Texas this month, and Early led the way by doubling their allocation from April 2021.  Sales tax allocations in April reflect retail sales in February.  Details of the allocations are below.

BROWNWOOD

The City of Brownwood received $429,960, an increase of 9.72% over April 2021.  Fiscal year-to-date (October 2021 through April 2022) Brownwood has collected $3,762,228, up 9.47%.

The Brownwood Municipal Development District received $141,811, an increase of 9.67% over April 2021.  Fiscal year-to-date the BMDD has received $1,230,868, up 10.37%.

EARLY

The City of Early received $173,582, an increase of 101.61% over April 2021.  Fiscal year-to-date Early has collected $1,304,599, up 55.74%

The Early Municipal Development District received $57,116, an increase of 103.64% over April 2021.  Fiscal year-to-date the EMDD has received $427,615, up 57.31%.

BANGS

The City of Bangs received $16,286, an increase of 17.24% over April 2021.  Fiscal year-to-date Bangs has collected $130,376, up 18.79%.

The Bangs Municipal Development District received $2,356, an increase of 7.73%.  Fiscal year-to-date the BMDD has collected $19,395, up 17.80%.
