The grand opening for the newest Smile Doctors location, at 529 A West Commerce in Brownwood, will take place from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm Thursday, March 24th. Smile Doctors invites current patients and the community to visit and enjoy a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Chamber of Commerce and Community Leaders. The Heartland BBQ food truck, Flour Pour, inflatable obstacle course and giveaways will be available all day for all to enjoy.
Our Doctor, Charles Hutto has practiced orthodontics in Texas for 40 years. As an alumnus of Baylor University in Waco and the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. Dr. Hutto is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and maintained a position as Clinical Instructor for the graduate Orthodontic Program at Baylor College of Dentistry for 4 years. Dr. Hutto looks forward to continuing to share his years of orthodontic experience with the community, in a new and expanded location.

Problems to look for in children ages 6-8 years of age include excessive spacing, crowing, open bite, overbite, cross bite, underbite, overjet and abnormal eruption to include impacted teeth.
Hutto continued “We’re seeing 7-year-old children, taking an X-ray and 75-80% of the time we watch them grow to make sure nothing happens along the way that could be prevented.” “What I commonly see in the office are patients with impacted teeth due to a baby tooth still present. This would be a benefit in early intervention to avoid a complicated case at age 12-13, as well as an increase cost to the parent.”
