BOYD – The Brownwood Lions slipped to 2-7-1 on the season following an 8-0 to Graham in Bowie tournament action, at Boyd, on Saturday afternoon.
The Lions were limited to three hits by Graham – a double by Tristan Salinas and singles from Gavin Brandstetter and Cole Miller. Brownwood batters also struck out seven times and did not draw a walk.
Graham scored six runs in the bottom of the second inning and tack on two more in the fifth.
On the mound for the Lions, Case Markham, David Turner, and Jake Reaves combined to allow eight runs – two earned – on eight hits with a pair of strikeouts and one walk.
Defensively, the Lions committed three errors.
Brownwood resumes District 6-4A action, seeking its first league win after falling Glen Rose, as its ventures to Lampasas for a 7 p.m. Tuesday tilt.
