Harley Ray Maynor, age 92, of Stephenville, and formerly of Brownwood, passed away Monday morning, March 7, 2022, at the Lone Star Rehab Center.
He was born June 2, 1929, in Brownwood, the son of Solomon Floyd Maynor and Chelsea Dorece Stovall Maynor. Following graduation, he obtained an associate degree. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed tinkering with projects and was an avid fisherman. He had a big heart, full of joy, love and forgiveness and was known as a wonderful person. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his stepson, Rex Gamble, a niece, Lindy Coughlind, and two nephews, Mike Maynor and Justin Maynor.
He was preceded in death by his two beloved wives, Ruth Maynor and Margaret Gamble.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, March 10, in the Davis-Morris Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with burial to follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
