The Brownwood High School Lion powerlifting team won 5th place team over-all at the Strawn Invitational Powerlifting Meet on Friday, February 22nd.

According to Coach Jim Taylor, this was the team’s last invitational meet and each team member competed very well all year.  Coach Taylor stated that most individual totals increased every time they lifted, demonstrating all the hard work they have done throughout the year.

“Our Seniors Kevin Hobbs, Cullen Ruth and Mack Monsen really competed strong every meet,” said Coach Taylor.  “Many underclassmen including several Freshman improved every time they lifted, and that is all you can ask for.”
