MINERAL WELLS – For the second time this season, the Brownwood Lady Lions tallied 11 goals – this time routing District 4-4A rival Mineral Wells Friday en route to a shutout victory.

Kennedi Johnson scored six of the Lady Lions’ (10-3-2, 4-1) goals in the 11-0 triumph, followed by Addison Pesina with two and Watts Jones, Molly Oliver and Ataleigh Constancio with one apiece.

Jones also recorded four assists, Johnson was credited with two, and Pesina notched one.

In boys soccer action, an injury-depleted Lions squad dropped a 3-0 decision to Mineral Wells, falling to 2-3 in league play and 5-9-2 for the season.

Both the Lady Lions and Lions will host Stephenville Tuesday, with doubleheader action at Gordon Wood Stadium to begin at 5:30 p.m.
