- On Tuesday, February 15 at approximately 11:15 a.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to CR 294. This was in reference to a domestic disturbance. Caller advised her granddaughter, and her boyfriend were fighting, and he had dragged her to the bedroom. Burke arrived on scene and made contact with an individual outside the residence. The individual stated he and his girlfriend, later identified as had been arguing about him going into the military. The individual admitted to “pushing” his girlfriend into the bedroom so they could “talk” more in private. The individual left the house after the granddad threatened to shoot him. Other SO units arrived on scene, and Burke went to speak with the girlfriend, who said she and the individual were arguing in the kitchen area. She said the individual grabbed her by the hair and drug her to the bedroom. She said she kind of stumbled as she was being drug. She went on to say once inside the bedroom, the individual threw her on the bed and punched her in the leg a couple of times. She said her head hurt from where her hair was pulled. She had some redness to the right side of her neck and to the right upper thigh area. She said it hurt when she was hit in the leg and when her hair was pulled. The individual was arrested for Assault Family Violence and transported to the Brown County Jail and released to jail staff.
- On Tuesday, February 15, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of a Scam. A report was made.
- On Tuesday, February 15 at 6:53 p.m. Sgt. Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to CR 382. This was in regard to a suicide attempt. Dispatch advised they received a call from MHMR Crisis hotline advising a male subject had taken several pills and had been drinking alcohol. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male subject. After further investigation the male subject was transported to Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood for treatment and an information report was taken.
- On Wednesday, February 16 at approximately 12:30 p.m. the complainant came to the Law Enforcement Center to report a theft/forgery. Deputy Mike Sheedy gathered information for a report, and it will be forwarded to Criminal Investigations for follow up.
- On Wednesday, February 16, Deputy Saydie Bradley, issued a 30-Day Notice to abate the property and two written warnings for a property on US Hwy 84-67. A report was made.
- On Thursday, February 17 around 1:50 a.m., Deputy Kenny Nabers, was dispatched to CC RV Park. This was in reference to a burglary. Information was gathered and report was made.
- On Thursday, February 17, Deputy Saydie Bradley, issued a 30-Day Notice and two written warnings in regard to a public nuisance at Terrace. A report was made.
- On Thursday, February 17, Deputy Mike Sheedy took information over the phone regarding a terroristic threat, which occurred in the FM 2632. A report was generated.
- On Thursday, February 17, at around 2:32 p.m., Deputy Carlyle Gover responded to CR 616. This was in reference to an elderly subject having a crisis. After further investigation, it was revealed family violence occurred at the residence, days prior. Due to the circumstances, the elderly subject voluntarily went to the hospital, and a report was made.
- On Thursday, February 17, Sgt. Andre Smoot spoke to the complainant about being scammed. Pertinent information was gathered, and a report was completed.
- On Thursday, February 17, an individual arrived at the Brown County Sheriff’s Office. This was to report a theft. Information was gathered and a report was made.
- On Thursday, February 17, at approximately 12:14 pm, Deputy Gregory Parrott, along with Deputy Stephen Thompson responded to a call of a barricaded subject in a vehicle at Mulberry Street in Brownwood, Texas. Upon our arrival, we learned the subject, had been in a mental health crisis. An emergency detention order was obtained by Center for Life Resources staff. Subject was physically removed from the vehicle. Once this was accomplished, Subject was handcuffed and transported to Cedar Crest Hospital in Belton, Texas by Deputy Stephen Thompson by the authority of the aforementioned emergency detention order.
- On Friday, February 18, around 11:24 p.m. Deputy Kenny Nabers, was patrolling in the North US 183. Nabers observed a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the road. After making a welfare check on the vehicle, consent to search was made. An individual was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 <1gram.
- On Friday, February 18 at about 11:36 a.m. Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at Field Dr in Brownwood, TX. This was in regard to a burglary. Langley spoke to a victim who stated someone had taken a refrigerator, water heater, and stove from his residence without his consent.
- On Friday, February 18, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of a Domestic Disturbance between a male and female. After further investigation, both parties were separated. A report was made.
- On Friday, February 18, Deputy Chris Angel responded to the Brown County Jail. This was in reference to Terroristic Threat against a jailer. A report was taken.
- On Saturday, February 19, at approximately 2 p.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to W. Pecan in Bangs, TX. This was in reference to two dogs killing chickens.
- On Saturday, February 19, at 8:58 p.m., Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to a call in regard to a civil matter. Dispatch advised the complainant stated their lawn mower was sold without permission. Contact was made with the complainant. Information was gathered and a report was taken.
- On Saturday, February 19, Deputy Chris Angel, responded to Gordon Road. This was in reference to criminal mischief. A report was taken.
- On Sunday, February 20, Deputy Chris Angel, responded to Bryan Drive. This was in reference to a male subject, who had been shot in the hand. It was found the male subject shot himself in the hand by accident. The male subject was transported to Hendricks Medical Center Brownwood Emergency Room for treatment.
- On Sunday, February 20, at about 1:57 p.m. Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at CR 136 in Bangs, TX. This was in regard to a deceased person. Langley spoke to a woman, who stated she found her brother, dead in his bedroom.
- On Sunday, February 20, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of a Civil Matter. A report was made.
- On Monday, February 21, Deputy Chris Angel, responded to North 6th Street, in the City of Bangs. This was in reference to criminal mischief. A report was taken, and an investigation is underway.
- On Monday, February 21, Deputy Chris Angel, responded to East Fitzgerald Street, in the City of Bangs. This was in reference to criminal mischief. A report was taken, and an investigation is underway.
- On Monday, February 21, Deputy Mike Sheedy spoke with a complainant by phone, who requested to file a report for terroristic threat. Information was gathered for the report, and the report will be sent for follow up investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division.
- On Monday, February 21, at approximately 10:08 p.m. Deputy Nicolas A. Wood, was notified of a domestic, which was occurring at Waterford Drive in Brownwood. An investigation was conducted, and a report will follow.
- On Tuesday, February 22, at approximately 10 a.m. Deputy Mike Sheedy took a theft report, which occurred in the State Highway 279 between the dates of February 9, 2022, and February 17, 2022.
- On Tuesday, February 22, Lt. Pete Bastardo spoke with Shirley Carol Welch, the owner of Welch Brothers Towing. This was in regard to theft of service. Information was taken from Welch and a report was generated for theft of service.
- On Tuesday, February 22 at around 10 a.m., Deputy Carlyle Gover responded to E Pecan in Bangs, Texas. This was in reference to unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The vehicle owner wished for the vehicle to be returned. After locating the vehicle in Comanche County. The vehicle’s driver was arrested for UUMV in Comanche County. A report was made.
- On Tuesday, February 22, Deputy Saydie Bradley, located an illegal dumping on CR 196. A report was made.
- On Tuesday, February 22, Deputy Saydie Bradley, located an illegal dumping at the intersection of CR 196 and CR 193. A report was made.
- On Monday, February 21 at approximately 7 p.m., Deputy Nicolas A. Wood, was notified of found property, which was at the Brownwood Law Enforcement Center. An investigation was conducted, and a report was made.
- On Tuesday, February 22, around 7:21 p.m. Deputy Kenny Nabers, was dispatched to CR 347, Early, TX. This was in reference to an unwanted subject. After an investigation, a report was made. A Criminal Trespassing Warning is to be issued to Ellis Burgess and Guadalupe Galvan.
- On Tuesday, February 22, Deputy Toby Mathis, was dispatched to the Brown County Jail. This was in regard to narcotics being found. Information was gathered and a report was made.
- On Tuesday, February 22 at approximately 7:26 p.m. Deputy Nicolas A. Wood, was notified of an unexpected death, which occurred at CR 435 north of May. An investigation was conducted, and a report will be made.
