KOXE Meteorologist Randy Turner shared the following information with BrownwoodNews.com regarding this week’s forecast:
We’re looking ahead to the upcoming week and likelihood of more cold weather and potential for some amount of sleet or freezing rain. It’s too early to say exactly how this all plays out, but there is enough data to suggest we need to prepare for two days worth of cold (Wed and Thurs) and the possibility of ice causing temporary travel issues.
Monday – A taste of Spring warmth, mostly sunny, highs between 80-83.
Monday Night – A few showers and storms expected.
Tuesday – Cold front eases into the area, highs in the 60’s.
Tuesday Night – Much colder air arrives, lows near 30.
Wednesday – Chance for sleet or freezing rain, highs 28-32.
Wednesday Night – Freezing rain and sleet, lows upper 20’s.
Thursday – Light snow or sleet morning, warming to the upper 30’s afternoon.
Thursday Night – Partly cloudy, low near 25.
Friday – Sunny, highs middle to upper 40’s.
