The Early Lady Horns powerlifters won the team championship at the Brady Heart of Texas meet earlier this week.
Alyne Celedon was named heavyweight best lifter after winning her weight class with 880 pounds lifted. Danielle Alcorta, with 830 pounds lifted, and Alexa Hernandez, with 795, also won their respective weight divisions.
Placing second in their weight classes were Hannah Middleton with 675 pounds lifted and Miranda Costanuela with 860 pounds.
Matty Boswell placed fifth in her division with 615 pounds, while Julienne Socong lifted 525 pounds.
Automatic regional qualifiers for the Lady Horns are Middleton in the 114-pound weight class, Hernandez in the 123s, Alcorta in the 148s and Celedon in the 181s.
Also this week, the Early Longhorns powerlifters competed at the Stephenville Invitational.
Brooks Clippinger won his weight class by lifting a total of 1,370 pounds; Izik Delgado finished second in his weight class with 960 pounds lifted; and Timothy Boisse came in fifth in his weight division, lifting 915 pounds.
