All three cities in Brown County showed healthy increases in sales tax allocations in February. The City of Early continues to set the pace in terms of increase percentage, with an increase of more than 50% in February. BROWNWOOD
The City of Brownwood received $716,105, an increase of 11.01% over February 2021. Fiscal year-to-date (October 2021 – February 2022) Brownwood has received $2,853,371, an increase of 10.71% over the previous year-to-date.
The Brownwood Municipal Development District received $229,028, an increase of 12.61% over February 2021. Fiscal year-to-date the BMDD has received $930,700, up 11.73% over the previous fiscal year-to-date.
EARLY
The City of Early received $211,375 in February, an increase of 51.01% over February 2021. Fiscal year-to-date Early has received $948,594, an increase of 53.58% over the previous fiscal year-to-date.
The Early Municipal Development District received $68,661, an increase of 53.11% over February 2021. Fiscal year-to-date the EMDD has received $310,263, up 55.16% from the previous fiscal year-to-date.
BANGS
The City of Bangs received $24,415, an increase of 20.19% over February 2021. Fiscal year-to-date Bangs has received $99,365, an increase of 21.71% over the previous fiscal year-to-date.
The Bangs Municipal Development District received $3,519, an increase of 23.86% over February 2021. Fiscal year-to-date the BMDD has received $14,830, up 22.78% from the previous fiscal year-to-date.
