The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of February 9:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

Fishing is good.  Water lightly stained; 40 degrees; 1.82 feet low.  Fishing weather is good as we head into a weekend with consistent weather and good winds.

Largemouth bass are good with perch-like crankbaits, brown or green Texas-rigged plastic worms, chartreuse bladed spinners, and shaky head jigs near timber, rocky shorelines, and docks.

Crappie are good on minnows and jigs in brush piles and near bridge pilings.

White bass and hybrids are good on slabs, swimbaits, and live bait along the main lake channels, humps, and ridges.  Look for birds diving over feeding schools of white bass.

Catfish are good on shrimp, chicken liver, and live bait.

LAKE CISCO

Fishing is good.  Water clear; 44 degrees; 3.47 feet low.

Sand bass are good with a few largemouth bass mixed in trolling with Rat-L-Traps.

Crappie are slow on live minnows in brush piles.

Catfish are slow drifting with cut shad.

LAKE COLEMAN

Fishing is fair.  Water slightly stained; 40 degrees; 1.63 feet low.

Hybrid stripers are fair on Rat-L-Traps chasing schools deeper, preferring silver coloring.

Largemouth bass are fair with topwater, worms, and jerkbaits just off the timber in deeper water and brush.

Crappie remain good on jigs off of points.

Catfish are fair with stink bait and cut bait.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

Fishing is GREAT.  Water clear; 43 degrees; 16.31 feet low.

Bass fishing has been great using rigs, spoons, jerkbaits, and swimbaits in 15-30 feet of water.

LAKE PROCTOR

Fishing is slow.  Water clear; 42 degrees; 1.66 feet low.

Crappie are fair near brush piles in Copperas Creek Park on minnows and jigs.

Catfish are fair drifting in the High Point area biting on cut bait.

White bass and hybrid stripers are slow, try smaller slabs this weekend as the fish will be lethargic.

Black bass are slow.
