Our friends at KOXE provided the following update on the impending weather headed to Brown County
A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Brown County and the surrounding area from 12 noon Tuesday through 6 pm Wednesday. Expect additional winter warnings or advisories to be issued.
The following is the forecast and thoughts from KOXE Meteorologist Randy Turner.
“As I analyzed the new data this morning (Tues), one thing stuck out. The arctic air will be arriving sooner Wednesday, therefore temperatures will drop faster during the day and the point at which the temperature drops below 32 degrees is earlier, meaning we could begin to see sleet and freezing rain in the Brown County area by roughly 6 pm Wednesday, possibly earlier. All your final preparations should be complete by noon Wednesday.
Once the temperature drops below 32 degrees Wednesday evening, expect the temperature to remain below 32 degrees through Saturday, at least three days below freezing.”
