STEPHENVILLE – The Brownwood Lions improved to 2-0 in District 6-4A boys basketball action Friday night, going on the road and securing a 67-59 victory over rival Stephenville
Brownwood (18-7, 2-0) led Stephenville (6-18, 0-3) by a 14-10 count after one quarter, 34-27 at halftime, and 52-44 through three periods.
Luke Moss paced the Lions with 20 points trailed by Bryson Monroe with 17 points, Jakob Hataway with 11 points, and Christian Kinzler with 10 points.
The Lions venture to Glen Rose (16-6, 0-1) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday for their first meeting of the year with their 6-4A rivals.
