Elsie Arlene Chavers Adams

adams_eliseElsie Arlene Chavers Adams, 84, of Lake Brownwood, TX, passed from this earthly life into her loving Heavenly Father’s arms on January 29, 2013 after a struggle with a serious illness, during which she continued to show love and strength.

Elsie was born December 11, 1928, in Cottage Hill, FL to the late Bruce and Gladys Chavers, the second of six children.  She was a missionary and member of New Testament Holiness Church for many years.

She is survived by her; son Richard Larry Ashley of Brownwood; daughters Joyce Pugh of Early, Sheila Hendrix and husband Don of Floresville, TX, Charlotte Cook and husband Byron of Pensacola, FL.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother Seaborn Chavers and wife Gail of McDavid, Fl; seventeen nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bruce and Gladys Chavers; brothers Mallory Chavers, Melvin Chavers, Raymond Chavers; sister Ethel Chavers; and grand-daughter Taunja Adams.

Services for Elsie will be 3:00 P.M. Thursday Jan. 31, 2013 at New Testament Holiness Church in Bangs, TX with Ronnie White officiating. Interment will follow at Bangs Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 P.M. for visitation Thursday January 31, 2013 at New Testament Holiness Church. Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood is in charge of arrangements. Condolences for the family may be left at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Don and Sheila Hendrix for their wonderful care and love.  Also, to our precious Dr.  Heaven for his constant love and care.
