- On Friday, December 10, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to Flat Rock Park. This was in reference to a report of a fire. Callers advised unknown individuals in a red SUV, throwing firecrackers out of the vehicle, started the fire. A report was made.
- On Saturday, December 11, Deputy Chris Angel, responded to 1016 O’Neal Street, Bangs. This was in reference to criminal mischief of vehicle tires on a tan 2002 Chevrolet 1500 pickup. A report was taken, and an investigation is underway.
- On Saturday, December 11, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to the Brown County Jail. This was in reference to an Assault. A report was made.
- On Saturday, December 11, Deputy Chris Angel, responded to North U.S. Highway 183. This was in reference to a theft of 500 gallons of red dye diesel, for a value of $1,486. A report was taken, and an investigation is underway.
- On Saturday, December 11, at about 10:22 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Sherry Ln in Early, TX. This was in regard to terroristic threat. Langley spoke a victim, who stated the owner of the game room, located at Hwy 279 in Brownwood, had pulled a gun on him.
- On Sunday, December 12, at around 4:37 a.m. Deputy Carlyle Gover and Deputy Byron Langley arrived at CR 234. This was in reference to a bullet going through their residence. After further investigation, a report was made.
- On Sunday, December 12 at about 9:33 p.m. Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at FM 1849 in regards to criminal mischief. Langley spoke to a victim who stated someone had run over his mailbox.
- On Monday, December 13 at approximately 10:40 a.m. Deputy Nicolas A. Wood, was notified of a property line dispute, which was on-going. The dispute was between the property owners of CR 475 and CR467. A Criminal Trespass Warning was issued.
- On Monday, December 13 at approximately 2:18 p.m. Deputy Greg Parrott, of the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, assisted Deputy Mike McCoy and Deputy Valton Posey with an arrest warrant. The individual was in a small shed located on the east side of his mother’s property, located at Belle Plain St. in Brownwood. During the course of the arrest, the individual resisted our efforts to place him into custody. Force was used against him by striking him in the face to gain compliance. As the individual continued to place his hands in his pockets, Deputy McCoy observed the individual discard something from his pocket into the aforementioned shed. This discarded contraband was a clear plastic baggie containing a clear crystal substance, believed to be methamphetamines, and a black in color glass pipe remnant, believed to have been used as drug paraphernalia. The individual was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail, whereupon he was booked by the authority of the aforementioned warrant, and the additional charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
- On Monday, December 13, Deputy Toby Mathis, spoke with a complainant by phone in regard to criminal mischief. Information was gathered and a report was made.
- On Tuesday, December 14, Deputy Toby Mathis, while on patrol observed damage to a fence line along CR 180. Vehicle parts were found near the damaged fence line. The vehicle owner was determined, information was gathered and a report was made.
- On Wednesday, December 15, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of a Theft. Complainant advised several pieces of flooring and appliances were taken from a resident being remodeled. A report was made.
- On Wednesday, December 15, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of an Assault. Victim advised he had been hit in the head with a hammer. A report was made.
- On Wednesday, December 15 at 3:01 p.m., Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to CR 588. This was in regard to theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant. The complainant advised an unknown male subject had stolen a package left by her front door. Information was gathered and a report was taken.
- On Thursday, December 16, at approximately 1:04 a.m., Early PD Officer T. Fletcher requested SO assistance on a traffic stop in the 600 block of Early Blvd. The resulting investigation revealed a female had been assaulted by a male in Bangs earlier in the evening.
- On Thursday, December 16, Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to CR 215 in Brownwood. This was in reference to a burglary of a building report and investigation.
