TUSCOLA – For just the second time in 10 outings this season, the Brownwood Lady Lions came up on the losing end of a decision, falling on the road to the Class 3A No. 3 Jim Ned Lady Indians, 65-22, Tuesday night.
Undefeated Jim Ned (8-0) led Brownwood (8-2) by a mere 14-11 count after one quarter, but the lead ballooned to 37-13 by halftime. Through three periods, the Lady Lions faced a 50-20 deficit.
Tessa Goodwin paced the Lady Lions with seven points followed by Mady Pyle with five, Alexa Arreola, Jaylen Savage and Kassidy Wooten with three each, and Kynslee Walker with one point.
For Jim Ned, Claire Graham and Ashlynn Galvin led the way with 17 points each and Lexi Wishert chipped in 16.
Brownwood will be back in action Thursday through Saturday at the Lorena tournament.
