Temperatures at or just below freezing are in the forecast Thursday night into early Friday morning in the Brown County area. As a result, the National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning that goes into effect at midnight and continues through 8:00 am Friday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions can harm crops and other sensitive vegetation. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above- ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
