During Tuesday afternoon’s meeting of the Brownwood Municipal Development District board, two Building Improvement Incentive Program grants were approved, as well as an infrastructure incentive for Howard Payne.
- Andy’s Pest Troopers will receive a Building Improvement Incentive Program grant not to exceed $20,000 for property located at 410 South Broadway.
- Chris and Missy Ryan, who own the property where Primal Brewing will be located at 200 N. Fisk, will receive a Building Improvement Incentive Program grant not to exceed $20,000.
- Howard Payne will receive an infrastructure reimbursement not to exceed $42,850 for street, curb and gutter improvements, as well as new sidewalks, associated with the Newbury Family Welcome Center, which is still under construction.
In closed session, the BMDD board held discussions regarding possible incentives for the Brownwood Hotel project, as well as legal aspects involving the event center. Information on both those subjects was not shared with the public.
