- On Friday, October 8, Deputy Andre Smoot responded to an address in Bangs for a dispute. Once on scene, one party was located and details about the incident were obtained. The 2nd party left the scene prior to my arrival and a report was completed for future investigation.
- On Friday, October 8, Deputy Mason Fabbiani was notified of an incident where an individual had gone onto Facebook and threatened to shoot a Brown County Appraisal District worker for going onto her property. A report has been made at this time.
- On Friday, October 8, Sgt. Taylor Fletcher, took a report from a woman that her ex-boyfriend vandalized the car she drives, which was owned by her mother.
- On Saturday, October 9, Deputy Mason Fabbiani was notified of four bulls that were located on County Road 411. The bulls did not belong to the property and none of the neighbors recognized them. A report has been taken.
- On Saturday, October 9, Deputy Andre Smoot with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, stopped out with an abandoned vehicle, approximately in the 14000 block of Farm to Market Road 45. The vehicle had a red tag affixed to the driver door window.
- On Saturday, October 9, Deputy Andre Smoot responded to a call of theft. While conducting an investigation, it was determined an unknown subject entered into a building being constructed for office space and bedroom’s adjacent to a residence. A report was completed for Burglary of a Building.
- On Saturday, October 9, Deputy Saydie Bradley, spoke with a female at the Sheriff’s Office. This was about a deposit for her wedding she had paid, which was supposed to be at FM 1467 on October 16, 2021. The property has been sold and the owner has not been in contact with the female. A report was made.
- On, Sunday October 10, Deputy Andre Smoot responded to a call of trespassing. The suspect was located and advised verbally of him being issued a trespass warning. Suspect refused to sign, and a report was completed.
- On, Sunday October 10 at approximately 10:52 p.m. Deputy Nicolas A. Wood, was dispatched to Gantt Street (Bangs). This was in reference to theft of a motor vehicle. An investigation was conducted.
- On Monday, October 11 at approximately 8:06 a.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to Valley Vista. This was in reference to an animal complaint.
- On Monday, October 11 at around 1:07 p.m, Deputy Carlyle Gover responded to CR 499. This was in reference to the property owner wishing to trespass her brother from the property. After serving the trespass warning over the phone, a report was made.
- On Tuesday, October 12 at about 10:48 a.m., Deputy Byron Langley, arrived a property located at N 279 Brownwood. This was in regards to an accident. Langley spoke to a witness who stated someone had run through a metal pipe fence of the property and left the scene.
- On Tuesday, October 12 at 1:57 pm, Deputy Richard Belvin, was working as Bailiff for 35th District Court. Sgt. Dennis Watson asked Belvin to go with him to arrest two individuals in the probation office for outstanding warrants. Upon arriving at the probation waiting area, Sgt. Watson called out the two names and informed both they had warrants. As Sgt. Watson and Deputy Belvin started escorting the two individuals towards the elevator the male took off running towards the stairs. Sgt. Watson and Deputy Belvin pursued the male in which Sgt. Watson tumbled to the floor. Belvin continued to chase the male down the stairs. As Belvin entered the stairwell he yelled out “Don’t let him out”. Upon Belvin’s arrival at the front door, Officer Brian Rice with Brownwood P.D. and the male were on the floor. The male was continuing to fight and attempting to escape as Belvin got on top of the male. Belvin was able to get the male’s left arm behind his back and place in handcuffs. Transport Deputy Jim Cornelius arrived to transport both individuals to the Brown County Jail.
- On Tuesday, October 12, at 5 p.m., Sgt Jayson Bastardo was dispatched to Early Blvd, Early Police Department. This was in regards to an assault, which occurred in the county. Upon arrival, Bastardo spoke with the complainant. The complainant advised she had been assaulted by her husband. Information was gathered and a report was taken.
- On Tuesday, October 12, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to N 1st St., Bangs, Texas. This was in reference to a report of Criminal Mischief. The complainant advised a male and three females came to the residence, made threats, and then broke windows in the residence and slashed his tires. A report was made.
- On Tuesday, October 12, Deputy Chris Angel, met with a victim at the Brown County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a theft. The victim stated a suspect had locked him out of the property and was not allowing him to get his personal belongings. The total amount of loss was $14,685.00.
