The Quilters Guild of Grace Lutheran Church has been busy over the years making quilts for the needy, and this year is no different as they made a donation of 23 quilts to the Ark Domestic Violence Shelter on November 27th.
The quilts were made up of 9 large sized quilts and 14 smaller ones. The quilts, according to officials at the ARK, will be given out as families need them.
The Quilters Guild has been making and giving away quilts for nine and a half years. The guild gave gifts of 126 quilts in 2011. Each spring, the Quilters Guild begin making quilts for next year’s gifts. If you are a quilter or would like to learn, please feel free to join these ladies as they “use their gifts in ministry to the people of the world”— all are welcome.
If you would like to help this ministry through donation of money, material or batting, please contact Grace Lutheran Church at 325-646-2045.
