COMANCHE – The Early Lady Horns opened District 8-3A volleyball action with a 25-17, 25-19, 25-7 triumph over the Comanche Maidens Saturday.
The Lady Horns (11-10, 1-0) received 12 kills from Taylor Summers trailed by five from Jordan Simmons, three from Carrigan Norris, two from Hadalee Saunders, and one each from Madison Torrez and Gabriella Leal.
Bethany Tomlinson dished out 21 assists while Saunders and Summers each served four aces. Norris and Grace LaRue tacked on two aces apiece while Torrez and Tomlinson both served one.
Defensively, Saunders and LaRue both logged seven digs followed by Summers with six, Norris with four, Torrez with three, and Leal and Mattyson Boswell with one apiece.
Saunders tallied two blocks and Simmons registered one.
In other District 8-3A volleyball action Saturday, Bangs fell at Peaster. The Lady Dragons are now 10-6 for the season and 0-1 in league action.
Early will visit Brock at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday while Bangs hosts Comanche at the same time.
