Rosette Fojtik, age 88, of Brownwood passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at the Brownwood Nursing and Rehab Ceneter.
She was born April 11, 1933 in Czechoslovakia, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Pecena) Balcar. She later moved to Texas where she worked for the Austin American Statesman as a classified ads representative and in the Human Resource Department. She was married to Jimmy A Fojtik in Dime Box, Texas on November 21, 1950 and has been a resident of Brownwood for the past 34 years.
She was a member of the Lift program, the Red Hats Society, the Central Texas Treasure Club, and the Heart of Texas Cowboy Church.
She is survived by close friend, Charlie Batten, and numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of grand-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Louis Blacar and Frank Balcar, four sisters, Lydia Wolf, Agnes Mazock, Milady Sample and Mary Mayes and a long time friend, Eddie Baker.
Memorial services will be announced for a later date and her remains will be interred in Hranice Cemetery .
