Another in a series of Brownwood Library Summer Reading Club programs was held Thursday morning at Brownwood Regional Airport.
Daniel Shelton is in charge of the summer reading club this year.
“Today we partnered with the airport to get the kids out and learn more about the Brownwood Regional Airport,” Shelton said. He was expecting approximately 100 kids and their parents and grandparents to attend.
After gathering in the airport office area, kids, parents and grandparents made their way outside where they could get up close to several airplanes parked on the apron. Several law enforcement, ambulance and fire personnel also brought their vehicles for the kids to enjoy. An Air-Evac medical helicopter was also at the program.
Another Art in the Park will take place behind the Library from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on July 1st.
The next summer reading club program is the Magic Jay Show at the Adams Street Community Center on July 8 with sessions at 10 or 11:30 am.
