Fishing Report 6/16/21

The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of June 16:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

Fishing is good.  Water lightly stained; 82 degrees; 0.21 feet high.

Largemouth bass are good with wacky worms, Texas rigged plastic worms, crankbaits, and swim baits along grass lines, rocky shorelines, and flooded vegetation.

Crappie are good on minnows and jigs in brush piles and near bridge pilings.

White bass and hybrids are good on slabs, swimbaits, and live bait along the main lake channel, humps, and ridges.  Look for birds diving over feeding schools of white bass.

Catfish are good on cut bait and nightcrawlers.

LAKE CISCO

Fishing is good.  Water clear; 70 degrees; 0.02 feet low.

Largemouth bass remain good staying shallower as spring holds on for one more week.  You will find success with worms, spinners, and jigs in submerged vegetation and shallow drops.

Sunfish are good on minnows and cutworms shallow in creeks or fast moving around cover and structure.

Crappie are good on jigs and minnows under docks and marinas.

Catfish have been fair on stink bait, chicken livers, and cut shad.

LAKE COLEMAN

Fishing is fair.  Water slightly stained; 73 degrees; 1.85 feet low.

Hybrid stripers are fair on rattle traps hitting the roaming schools.

Largemouth bass remain fair among points and ledges with jerkbaits, jigs, spinners, and worms.

Crappie remain good out from vegetation.

Catfish are fair with stink bait or cut bait.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

Fishing is good.  Water clear; 74 degrees; 13.64 feet low.

Black bass are fair on worms and spinners working points, shady covers, and vegetation in less than 10 feet of water.

Crappie are good on jigs mainly west lake and around structures.

Catfish are good on stink bait, live bait, and cut bait.

White bass are fair.

LAKE PROCTOR

Fishing is fair.  Water lightly stained; 85 degrees; 9.16 feet high.

Largemouth bass are fair on top water, swimbaits, and crankbaits near main lake points, flooded vegetation, and rocky shorelines.

Hybrid stripers are fair with live bait in the main lake in water depths 25-40 feet.

Crappie are good with minnows and jigs near timber and brush near a channel or drop-off.

Catfish are fair on chicken liver, live bait, and earthworms.
