On Wednesday, May 5 at approximately 9:45 a.m. Deputy Scotty Burke spoke to a complainant by phone. This was in reference to someone striking her vehicle while it was parked in a local parking lot.
On Wednesday, May 5 at 6:43 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover arrived to the One Source clinic. This was in reference to a dog bite, which occurred in the county. After further investigation, a report was made.
On Wednesday, May 5 Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of Criminal Mischief. The complainant advised someone had dumped nails in their driveway. A report was made.
On Thursday, May 6 at about 8:08 a.m. Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at a business on Hwy 279 N in Brownwood. This was in regards to a burglary. Langley spoke to the victim who stated someone had made entry into his building, by means of a side window.
On Thursday, May 6 at about 10:27 a.m. Deputy Byron Langley, arrived in the Shamrock Shore area of Brownwood at the intersection of Lover’s Lane and Sportsman Dr. This was in regards to a man with a gun being chased by dogs. Dispatch provided a description of a white male with no shirt and blue jeans running in the area with dogs chasing him. Langley located a male matching the description and identified a suspect from previous experience on Verde Dr. on a bicycle. When the suspect saw Langley he jumped off the bicycle and ran towards Belfast Dr. Langley noticed the suspect had a shotgun in his hands when he took off running. The suspect later dropped the shotgun and it was collected as evidence. The shotgun had an overall length of 25 ½ inches and barrel length of 14 ½ inches making it a prohibited weapon.
On Thursday, May 6 at approximately 8:24 a.m. SO units were dispatched to Shannon Dr. in Brownwood. This was in reference to a suspicious report and investigation.
