LUBBOCK – Brownwood Lady Lion Haylie Martindale followed an opening round 96 Monday with a 104 Tuesday at the Region I-4A girls golf tournament at Shadow Hills Golf Course, finishing with a 51st place total of 200.

The three teams moving on to state are Andrews (611), Argyle (644) and Lampasas (646).

Brynlee Davis of Andrews shot a 150 to win the individual regional championship, while the golfers advancing to state as medalists are Alexza Madrid (158) and Kyleigh McGowen (161) of the Andrews II team, and Tori Gardner (163) of Decatur.

The UIL Class 4A girls golf tournament will take place May 10-11 T Plum Creek Golf Course in Kyle, south of Austin.
