Brownwood Lady Lion sophomore golfer Haylie Martindale qualified for the Region I-4A girls golf tournament based on her performance during the 36-hole District 6-4A tournament, which concluded Monday in Gatesville.

Martindale closed the tournament with a round of 94 to place sixth overall and advance as a medalist from a non-qualifying team.

The Region I-4A girls golf tournament will take place April 19-20 at Shadow Hills Golf Course in Lubbock.
