Next COVID vaccination clinic set for April 7

There will not be an update posted tomorrow, April 2nd, due to the Good Friday holiday. Regular weekly updates will continue Friday, April 9th. The Brownwood-Brown County Health Department has confirmed 5 positive COVID-19 test results so far this week. Of the 5 new positives, 4 were PCR, and 1 was antigen. The current number of active cases is listed at 9 total. No additional deaths have been reported. 

COVID-19 Vaccinations

Brown County currently shows 7,587 people vaccinated with 1st doses, 4,984  people vaccinated with both doses.  This results in 16.11% of the local population as being fully vaccinated. 30,883 is the estimated number of Brown County residents eligible for vaccination. 

COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Information

The Brownwood-Brown County Health Department has opened eligibility for COVID-19 vaccinations to ALL adults age 18 years old or older. There will be a clinic on Wednesday, April 7th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Gordon Wood Stadium. The clinic will administer Moderna second doses from 9 to 11 a.m. Johnson & Johnson one-dose vaccines will be administered from noon to 3 p.m.
