Brown County Sheriff’s Report – March 22

On Friday, March 19 at approximately 12:08 p.m., Deputy Carlyle James Gover was informed about a wanted person out of Yoakum County. Deputy Gover recognized her walking northbound on Highway 279. When approaching her, she threw out a bag off her person. After inspecting the bag it was discovered it contained methamphetamine. The wanted person was taken into custody for Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possessing a Controlled Substance under one gram and the warrant from Yoakum County.

On Friday, March 19 at about 2:25 p.m., Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Iroquois Dr. This was in regards to Fail to Comply W/ Registration Requirement. Langley spoke to a witness who stated a suspect is her husband and he does stay at her residence sometimes.

On Friday, March 19 at 3:22 p.m., Deputy Carlyle James Gover arrived at S US 377. This was in reference to a pot that was smoking on the property when the residents returned. After further investigation a report was made.

On Saturday, March 20 at 1:21 p.m., Deputy Carlyle James Gover arrived at CR 497. This was in reference to a vehicle missing off the property. The caller advised he is not the owner of the vehicle; however, he did have a motor and transmission in the truck’s bed. After further investigation, a report was made.

On Sunday, March 21 at about 11:17 a.m., Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at CR 153 in Brownwood. This was in regard to illegal dumping. Langley spoke to an individual who stated he had found trash dumped on the side of the roadway close to the intersection of CR 180 and CR 192 in Brownwood. The individual stated he had loaded the trash from the roadway and it was on his trailer at his property. The individual stated he located a piece of mail with the name of a suspect.

On Sunday, March 21 at 1:07 p.m., Deputy Carlyle James Gover arrived at County Road 180. This was in reference to a 3 wheeled bike, which was left on the property. After speaking to the caller, the owner of the bike could not be found. The bike was then taken to the Law Enforcement Center for storage. A report was made.

On Sunday, March 21 at 2:33 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover responded to the intersection of Brook Valley Drive and Lakeshore Drive. This is where the Harbor Point’s residents’ dumpsters are located. This is in reference to illegal dumping. After further investigation, a report was made.
