The Lady Lions generated 205 points to outdistance Burnet (169), Lampasas (133), and Jarrell (54), while the Lions produced 168 points to best Burnet (143), Lampasas (139), and Jarrell (58).
The Brownwood girls brought home 18 medals – seven gold, five silver and six bronze.
Event winners for the Lady Lions included Becca Church in the 100-meter hurdles (17.18), 300-meter hurdles (52.72) and long jump (16-9); Emma Stegemoller in the pole vault (9-0); Jaylen Savage in the high jump (5-0); Kynslee Walker in the 400 meters (1:03.87); and the 4×100 relay team of Kassidy Wooten, Alli Touhakis, Jadie Sudderth and Talia Clifton (52.43).
Runners-up included Church in the triple jump (34-6.5); Walker in the 800 meters (2:34.4); Clifton in the 100-meter hurdles (18.12); Ava Brownlee in the 300-meter hurdles (54.28); and the 4×400 relay of Sudderth, Stegemoller, Jayme Cottle and Walker (4:26.09).
Coming in third were Wooten in both the 100 meters (13.66) and 200 meters (27.93); Clifton in the 300-meter hurdles (54.5); Ava Choate in the 400 meters (1:07.65); Jaslin Jones in the shot put (30-8); and the 4×200 relay of Emily Carnes, Savage, Kinley Reeves and Sudderth (1:55.28).
Placing fourth were Reeves in the 100 meters (13.68); Stegemoller in the 800 meters (2:38.78); Brownlee in the 100-meter hurdles (19.34); Cottle in the long jump (15-6); Chloe Adamez in the 400 meters (1:08.52); and Naysa Leach in the 3200 meters (15:18.28).
Finishing fifth were Cottle in both the 200 meters (28.15) and triple jump (27-10.5); Carnes in the 100 meters (13.71); and Addison Strickland in the discus (70-0).
Adding points with sixth-place efforts were Clifton in the triple jump (26-3); Cottle in the high jump (4-4); and Alexa Arreola in the shot put (28-5.25).
The Brownwood boys collected 17 medals – five gold, eight silver and four bronze.
Finishing first were Christian Kinzler in the high jump (5-10); Azariah Dillard in the 200 meters (23.48); Brad Robinson in the shot put (43-7); the 4×100 relay of Dillard, Toby Yeats, Nathan Wheelington and Jake Jetton (44.66); and the 4×400 relay of Dillard, Jetton, Hunter Day and Taylor Bessent (3:37.65).
Second-place performances belonged to Yeats in the 110-meter hurdles (16.03) and the 300-meter hurdles (44.68); Jetton in the 400 meters (54.52); Wheelington in the 200 meters (23.54); Weston Burns in the pole vault (12-0); Blaize Espinoza in the shot put (43-1); Jared Northcutt in the discus (118-1); and Caleb Nelson in the 3200 meters (11:34.59).
Coming in third were Wheelington in the 100 meters (11.6); Nelson in the 1600 meters (5:19.42); Jimi Brown in the discus (113-4); and Trent Loftin in the 110-meter hurdles (17.59)
Placing fourth were Loftin in the 300-meter hurdles (46.72) and Wheelington in the long jump (19-7).
No Lions came in fifth place, but finishing sixth were Jetton in the long jump (19-0) and Blake Brasher in the 400 meters (55.62).
The Lions and Lady Lions will be back in action March 20 at the Possum Kingdom Relays in Graham.
