The Howard Payne Yellow Jackets slipped to 0-3 in American Southwest Conference men’s soccer action and 0-4 on the season with a 5-0 home loss to the Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders Monday afternoon at Citizens National Bank Field.
HPU surrendered four goals in the first half and one in the second. Finding the net for UMHB (4-0-1, 2-0-1) were Price Peden, Brody Conley, Ethan Buchanan, Amasan Abgu and one was credited to the team
The Yellow Jackets attempted two shots – by Noah Platzer and Brandon Osborne – with none on goal.
UMHB finished with 27 shots and 11 on goal as Andrew Hackney tallied five saves and Eduardo Perez added two for Howard Payne.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action at 5 p.m. Sunday as they visit Mary Hardin-Baylor.
