On Friday, February 26, Coggin Intermediate School fourth-grade students took on the Kids Heart Challenge as a part of their PE class taught by Eric Green.
Students rotated through stations during their PE class that included various jump-rope activities, stretching, and hula-hooping. The challenge culminated at the end of each class with students jumping rope together and trying to last as long as they could.
Mr. Green provided the following description of the event which benefits the American Heart Association:
The Kids Heart Challenge is a fun and exciting event where students learn about the heart while helping others by raising money for the American Heart Association. Building on key learnings from 43 years in America’s schools, the Kids Heart Challenge focuses on whole body wellness, helping students improve their own health and better their character while raising life-saving donations for the American Heart Association to help kids facing heart-health issues.
