He was born Cecil Bryan Johnson on November 26, 1933 in Lohn, Texas to Delma Bryan Johnson and Tina Trewitt Johnson. He grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School in 1952. Cecil married Herma Jean Corder on June 10, 1952, and this became a true and life-long love story. With this union came three daughters and one son. They raised their family in Coleman where Herma Jean taught school and Cecil owned and operated Johnson Implement Company. Cecil loved his job in helping the agriculture of Coleman and surrounding counties be successful. After Cecil retired in 2014, he returned to his true passion of farming. He had a kind heart and giving spirit. Cecil loved his family and cherished the moments that he could spend with his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. His positive attitude and faith in God leave behind an amazing legacy for his family.
