On Monday, Jan, 25, at approximately 6:02 p.m. Deputy Nicolas A. Wood, was notified of an accident involving a golf cart with injuries, which occurred on Cutter Circle near Harbor Drive in Brownwood.
On Thursday, Jan. 28 Deputy Saydie Bradley spoke with an individual at the Sheriff’s Office about her identity being stolen. A report was made.
On Friday, Jan. 29 at about 10:19 a.m. Deputy Marvin Simpson responded to CR 321. This was in regards to a theft, which had already occurred. Upon arriving on scene, Deputy Simpson spoke with the victim and a witness. Deputy Simpson was advised by the victim she believed a suspect had stolen a receiver hitch from her on Dec. 24. The victim asked for a criminal trespass warning to be issued on the suspect. Deputy Simpson interviewed the suspect in regard to the theft. The suspect denied the theft and the suspect was issued the trespass warning. A report was made.
On Friday, Jan. 29 Deputy Andre Smoot, responded to a call referencing mail theft. Smoot gathered pertinent information from the complainant and completed a report for further investigation.
On Friday, Jan. 29 at approximately 12:49 a.m. Deputy Mike Sheedy responded to 7045 County Road 551 to investigate a dog bite complaint. On arrival, it was determined through speaking with the victims that no one actually got bit but a small Jack Russell Terrier had been injured and bit. The offending dog, a male blue pit bull dog, was later located roaming the neighborhood. The dog was transported to the Brownwood/Brown County Animal Shelter as a stray. No collar or tags were located on the dog. An owner was not located.
On Friday, Jan. 29 at approximately 6:50 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover and Sgt. Taylor Fletcher arrived to Green Oaks Drive. This was in reference to a truck and trailer tearing up the roadway. After further investigation, a citation was issued and a report was made.
On Sunday, Jan. 31 at approximately 1:07 a.m., Deputy Carlyle James Gover and Sgt. Taylor Fletcher arrived to CR 574. This was in reference to an elderly woman wandering into a neighbor’s house with stickers and cactus spines on her legs and elbows. Lifeguard EMS arrived and took her to the hospital. A report was made.
On Sunday, Jan. 31 Deputy Andre Smoot responded to Romero Street. This was referencing a window that was broken. Smoot contacted owner of residence, gathered pertinent information, and completed a report.
Brown County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the 6900 block of Dillard Drive. This was for a call of an unwanted person and domestic violence. On arrival, Deputy Mike Sheedy conducted an investigation and gathered evidence for a report of Assault Causes Bodily Injury – Family Violence.
Deputy Mike Sheedy spoke with the complainant by phone and took information regarding an Online Impersonation offense. A report was generated and will be forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division for further review.
