CASA in the Heart of Texas will host an online information session at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29.
A post on the CASA in the Heart of Texas, Inc. Facebook page stated:
Too many children/youth in our service area (Brown, Comanche, and Mills counties) do not have a CASA volunteer because we have not had an adequate number of volunteers to serve them. Join CASA at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29 to learn more about CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) in the Heart of Texas, the role of CASA volunteers, and why it is so vitally important to children in the foster care system and their families. We will also discuss how to begin the process of becoming a CASA volunteer, the training provided, as well as the time and commitments involved.
We want to start 2021 off strong by immediately increasing our number of volunteers to serve more of these children and youth in our communities. Please help us reach our goal of increasing our number of volunteers this year to the point where we can serve every child in our area who comes into care.
Please invite your friends and help spread the word, bring your questions and consider becoming an advocate through CASA in the Heart of Texas or helping us in our mission in other ways.
