In a game recently added to their schedule, the Brownwood Lions were unable to come up with a home victory as the Snyder Tigers picked up a 3-0 win at Gordon Wood Stadium Friday night.
With the loss, the Lions slipped to 1-8 on the season.
“We got beat in the possession game again, they put more strings of passes together,” said Lions head coach Scott Swanzy. “Until we fix that we’re going to be very frustrated.
“On a slippery, slick night like tonight, long balls forward are very hard to possess. We have to move to open spaces, have quicker passes and more strings of passes connecting and just move the ball in an organized manner, and then find the space in the corners. That’s our most successful combination, getting depth on the corners and crossing it in, but other teams have done a better job of that and that’s what got us beat.”
The Lions will attempt to rebound at 7 p.m. Friday when they visit Springtown.
