On Friday, Jan. 22, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 40 positive COVID-19 test results, 81 negative, 59 recoveries, and 1 death. Of the 40 positives, 26 were PCR, and 14 were antigen. There are currently 24 hospitalized in Brown County. The death reported was male in his 50’s, not a resident of a nursing facility.

COVID-19 Vaccinations:
Brown County currently shows 972 people vaccinated with 1st doses, 242 people vaccinated with both doses.  31,586 is the estimated for vaccination.

Weekly Case Count Update:
Brown County ended the week (1/22/2021) with an addition of 214 new cases from the previous week.

Upcoming Free Mobile COVID-19 Test Dates: 
Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) COVID-19 mobile testing team will continue January 25th-29th in Brownwood from 10 am to 4 pm at Gordon Wood Stadium located at 3206 Milam Drive.
