Horace Eugene (Gene) Henson, age 89, a resident of Brownwood, Texas died on December 21st, 2020 in Brownwood, Texas. Graveside Service will be held at the Gouldbusk Cemetery in Gouldbusk, Texas on December 29th, 2020 at 2:00pm.
Gene was born January 13, 1931 in Gouldbusk, Texas to Roy and Vivian Henson. Gene worked as Texas Iron Worker for 30 years and was a member of Local 482. He married Wanda Lee Morelock on October 3rd, 1949. Gene and Wanda are members of the Cowboy Church in Early, Texas. Gene loved traveling and he and Wanda traveled to many states over the years. He enjoyed playing 42 with friends and shooting pool at the Senior Center. He will truly be missed.
Gene is survived by his wife of 71 years, Wanda Lee Morelock Henson; his brother, Little Roy Holland Henson (Margaret) of Pearland, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Elizabeth Drummond Henson; father, Roy Houston Henson; brothers, Hiram Henry Henson, John Hubert Henson, Sam Houston Henson; and sister, May Pearl Henson Gould Hiller.
