EARLY – The Early Longhorns improved to 4-4 on the season with a 55-42 home victory over the Crane Golden Cranes in non-district boys basketball action Saturday afternoon.

The Longhorns led 13-9 after one quarter, 28-17 at halftime and 46-22 through three periods.

Vic Cooper led Early with 31 points followed by 10 from Jaxyn Price and nine from Ethan Mitchell.

For Crane, Donny Bishop poured in 18 points and Lucas Rizo added 11.

Valley Mills 52, San Saba 47

VALLEY MILLS – The San Saba Armadillos slipped to 6-2 on the season Friday night with a 52-47 road loss to the Valley Mills Eagles.

San Saba trailed 16-9 after one quarter, 27-16 at halftime, and 39-29 through three quarters.

Lucas Glover led the Armadillos with 20 points followed by Regan Mejia with 16, Tegen Saiz with five, and Drake Bryant and Tyler Johnson with three apiece.

Valley Mills received 12 points from Corbin Navarro and 10 each from Utah Dutschmann and Braydon Richardson.
