Nine Brownwood High School (BHS) choir students and one alternate recently qualified for the All-Region Choir following their virtual auditions. “All state choir auditions are being held virtually this year,” said BHS Choir teacher, Jennifer Reeves. “This hasn’t stopped our Brownwood High School Choir students from working hard on some difficult music during the fall semester to prepare for each audition.”
The students range from 9th-12th graders and come from all three BHS choir classes: Men’s Choir, Varsity Women’s Choir, and A Cappella. “Our students are competing like usual against other choir students in our region,” said Reeves. “Our region consists of Burkburnett, Mineral Wells, Iowa Park, Stephenville, and Wichita Falls.”
The results included one alternate and nine students that made the All-Region Choir and are moving on to the second audition in the All-State Choir process:
