The Early Police Department posted the following on Facebook Monday morning:
* On Sunday. Nov. 15 at approximately 6 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Lucus Drive at Highway 183 South. When officers made contact with the driver, they could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
Officers questioned the driver Gabriel Ramos-Saldana about the smell. Ramos-Saldana then surrendered bag that contained some marijuana inside. He also surrendered a quantity of THC Gummies and drug paraphernalia from the vehicle. 21-year-old Gabriel Ramos-Saldana, from Kingwood, Texas, was placed under arrest and taken to the Brown County Jail for charges of possession of controlled substance 2nd degree felony, possession of marijuana class A misdemeanor and possession of drug paraphernalia class C misdemeanor.
On Friday, Nov. 13 officers were dispatched to a business in the 1900 block of Early Blvd. regarding a customer who was out of control. Upon arrival officers detained a female fitting the description called in by the store manager. The manager stated the girl had been slamming things on the shelf and throwing them into the basket and then began slamming thing onto the counter to check out.
When the clerk asks her to stop slamming things, she became more violent damaging items in the store. The officer viewed the video of the incident and placed Charity Anne Wittke under arrest from criminal mischief over $50.
* Early Sunday morning at approximately 12:20 a.m., an officer was on her way home after the tour of duty and encountered a vehicle on Belle Plain in Brownwood driving erratically. The officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Elijah Ray Jones.
Jones didn’t appear to be intoxicated but Jones had an outstanding warrant for a parole violation-possession of controlled substance and was placed under arrest. Also, in the vehicle was a girlfriend that currently had a protective order against Jones prohibiting him from being within 500 feet of the female.
A protective order issued by the court orders an officer to arrest a person that violated the conditions regardless of the circumstances. Jones was also charged with violation of protective order and take to the Brown County Jail.
*Officers also arrested Lonnie Gene Stewart and Gilberto Ramirez Jr on outstanding warrants. Both were arrested from separate traffic stops in Early.
