On Thursday, Aug. 20, Deputy Saydie Hammonds was dispatched to W US 67. This was in regards to a theft. A report was made.
On Thursday, Aug. 27, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a Follow Up from a previous call of a Civil Matter. The complainant stated she wished to pursue charges against her boyfriend for taking her vehicle without permission. A report was made.
On Thursday, Aug. 27, Deputy Mason Fabbiani noticed a vehicle driving north on Hwy 279 with a subject who had a felony warrant. When Deputy Fabbiani attempted to turn around the suspect vehicle attempted to turn onto County Road 135. The vehicle wrecked at the intersection. The wanted subject was placed in custody and was in possession of used syringes. The subject was transported to Brown County Jail and released to jail staff. A passenger of the vehicle was also arrested by Trooper Hoy. A report has been made.
On Thursday, Aug. 27, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of Harassment. The complainant advised a neighbor had solicited him for sex and was now leaving notes several times a day on the door of his residence. A report was made.
On Thursday, Aug. 27 at 3:08 p.m., Corporal Jayson Bastardo, was dispatched a theft call, which could be handle by public service. Bastardo spoke with Dan individual who said she attempted to cancel her internet security program when another unknown individual transferred too much money to her account. Thomas said she returned the money and noticed the transaction never occurred. A report was taken.
On Friday, Aug. 28 at approximately 2:40 p.m., while on uniformed patrol in a marked Brown County Sheriff’s Office patrol unit, Deputy M. Davis was dispatched to the Brown County Jail. This was regarding a reported assault, which occurred in the jail involving two inmates.
On Saturday, Aug. 29 Deputy Hammonds was dispatched to an illegal dumping on CR 155. A report was made.
On Sunday, Aug. 30 at about 01:52 a.m. Brownwood Police Officers responded to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center for a gunshot victim. The Brownwood Police Officers learned, from the victim, the shooting occurred at Remero St. At this point the call became an investigation for the Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Simpson responded to Remero St. with assistance from a Brownwood Police Officer. On-Call CID was contacted and a Spanish speaking investigator was also contacted. A suspect was later arrest by Sgt. Wyatt for Second Degree Felony Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon and Third Degree Felony Tampering with Physical Evidence. A report was made.
On Sunday, Aug. 30, Sgt. Taylor Fletcher responded to a fire near a building on Highway 279. There was no obvious cause for the fire and a report was made.
On Sunday, Aug. 30 at approximately 9:05 p.m. while on uniformed patrol in a marked Brown County Sheriff’s Office Patrol unit, Deputy M. Davis along with Deputy M. Simpson and Deputy T. Mathis were dispatched to Waterfront Rd. This was regarding a reported assault in progress.
On Monday, Aug. 31 at approximately 1:50 p.m., Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to CR 114. This was in reference to an illegal dumping report and investigation.
On Monday, Aug. 31 at approximately 4:50 p.m., units were dispatched to Comanche Dr. in May. This was in reference to an Assault-Family Violence report and investigation.
On Monday, Aug. 31, Deputy Joe Thomas was dispatched to a report of a Fire at Sandy Beach. A report was made.
