1:15 pm Tuesday Update – The Forest Service says the fire has grown to 9,500 acres but remains at 50% containment. Crews will be conducting burn out operations this afternoon, while continuing to construct and reinforce containment lines.

According to an update Tuesday morning from the Texas A&M Forest Service, the Mays Fire in San Saba and McCulloch counties remains at 9,000 acres and is now 50% contained. The fire started on Sunday.
