Brownwood News – The Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls.
On the night of July 8, Sgt. Taylor Fletcher responded to a female’s camper at Lake Brownwood State Park. She said she had been abandoned there by her husband. After arriving at the scene, Sgt. Fletcher learned the female had also been assaulted by her husband. The woman was transported to The Ark for overnight accommodations and a report was made.
On July 9, at approximately 16:18 hours, Deputy M. Davis was dispatched to a report of a possible recovered stolen vehicle out of Coleman County. The vehicle was located at County Road 550 and was reported by a male complainant.
On July 9, Deputy Toby Mathis responded to a report of a theft of wedding rings at Mesa View Drive in Brownwood. It was determined the offense was Burglary of a Habitation and a report was made.
