We can only imagine the welcome Brian Lynn Wade received in Heaven when he arrived there on Saturday, November 26th, 2016. The celebration in Heaven must be grand and jubilant to equal the sadness that is happening here on earth as we mourn the loss of a husband, father, brother, son, friend, coach and mentor. We can only imagine that the Lord had his arms open wide welcoming Brian with the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
We can only imagine him, in his flip flops, teaching Garrett to flip while Grandmother and Grandfather Wade and Mimi and Papa Crispin watch and cheer them on. We can only imagine the hugs and the laughter that will certainly follow.
Brian’s wife, Tina and children, Ashtin, Brent, Kaleb and Khloe watched as Brian opened their home to their friends. He was a nurturing person, not only to his family and friends, but to their friends until they became family.
His parents, Jerry and Cheri Wade and his siblings, Robert, Matt, and Charity along with their spouses Kristin, Shelby and Josh will miss him dearly and console each other with many “Brianisms” that they recall with laughter.
Brian’s greatest joy in life was to celebrate other people’s successes even before his own. Brian let everyone know that he had the “most talented, amazing and beautiful nieces and nephews.” He made sure he knew what each one was involved with so he could encourage them in their latest endeavors.
Brian was born in Goleta, California on June 5, 1974. He attended three high schools: Burnet, Texas, Southbury, Connecticut, and graduated from Union High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We believe this is why he never met a stranger and was highly sensitive to other people’s happiness.
He was deeply involved in his community. He has blessed Central Texas as a youth minister, coach, photographer and radio host. Brian had a heart for helping others, especially children. He helped create Toys for Kids, a toy drive that has been instrumental in getting toys to those in need for Christmas.
Brian Lynn Wade’s life will be celebrated with graveside services at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 30th at Eastlawn Memorial Park; a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Coggin Avenue Baptist. No visitation will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
Instead of flowers, the family is asking for the donation of toys to the Brian Wade Toys for Kids Drive. Toy drop-off locations include: Blaylock Funeral Home, Coggin Ave Baptist Church, or any of the Toys for Kids participating locations. Online condolences for the family are welcome at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
