Francisco “Frank Valdez” Sr. was born on April 17, 1950 to Jesus Valdez, Sr. and Lucia Valdez of Brownwood, Texas.
On August 7, 1967 he was married to the love of his life Dominga “Maria” Baca from New Mexico. Francisco went to work for BNSF Railway in 1969 as a machine operator, he enjoyed working for the BNSF Railway, traveling all over the USA meeting new people, making friends with everyone.
He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, an always was supportive of his family and loved ones no matter what. He also loved cooking homemade meals for the family and friends. As a hobby he liked working on cars and trucks.
In April of 2010 he retired from BNSF Railway due to his health.
He is survived by his wife Dominga “Maria” Valdez of Brownwood; Frank Valdez, Jr. of Brownwood; George Valdez, and Leah Herring-Valdez of Brownwood; and Delma “Katie” Valdez and Christopher Valdez of Brownwood. He also had seven grandchildren that were his pride and joy, as well as one great grand-daughter. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as his two precious dogs, Stephanie and Pinto. Mr. Valdez is also survived by six brothers, John Valdez; Phillip Valdez; Jesse Valdez, Jr.; Lafayette “Rafael” Valdez; Pete Valdez; and David G. Valdez, all of Brownwood. He is survived by sisters Katherine of Early; Juanita Valdez of Early; Brenda James of Tyler, Texas; and Christina Garcia of Brownwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. Francisco will be missed by all of his family and friends.
