Law enforcement arrests and reports released August 31, 2011.

Monday, August 29

*12:36pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 8th Street regarding theft.  According to the report, a laptop computer was stolen approximately 3 weeks prior to the complaint.  The laptop was valued at $549.00.  Suspects have been named; however no arrests have been made.

Tuesday, August 30

*9:06am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Avenue H regarding found property.  The reporting party stated that he found a bicycle around 9:00am which was in the alley behind his residence.   He did not know who the bicycle belonged to or where it came from.  The bicycle was described as an 18-speed men’s bicycle that is maroon and silver in color. The officer took possession of the bike and placed it in the Brownwood Police Department impound until the owner can properly identify and claim the bicycle.

*6:02pm-A Brownwood Police officer was called to the Law Enforcement Center to meet with a complainant regarding fraud.  The complainant reported that the unknown suspect(s) used her credit card without her permission. 

*6:18pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of W. Main Blvd. regarding theft.  The victim stated that someone stole her husband’s boat.  The boat is described as a gray 2008 Pelican Two man boat and is valued at approximately $600.00, the report states.  The offense occurred between 8:00am on August 28th and the evening of the 30th, around 6:00pm.  The investigation is ongoing according to police.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 65-year-old Danny Joe Warren for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon.

Wednesday, August 31

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Ronald Anthony Casanova, Jr. of Coleman for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
